Children's Book Clubs

Whether your child is a "just-one-more-chapter" type of reader or you’re on a mission to turn a reluctant reader into a book lover, our clubs have them covered. Each month, we meet and:

💬 Debate plot twists, discuss characters and "I can't believe that happened” endings, developing critical literacy skills
🤝 Share recommendations and discover new genres with a bunch of like-minded readers in a welcoming space
🎨 Create playlists, share ideas and take part in crafty activities

We can support children from Year 2 all the way up to Sixth Form across Stockport.

How It Works

Here's how our children and teens book clubs work

1
Choose the book club for your child

Our book clubs are designed around your child's year group. With a focus on screen-free fun, they'll join a group of children their age to explore the latest in children's fiction.

We'll send you the details

Once you're all signed up, we'll send you the details, including the times and dates for your diary by email.

Meet your book group

Once you've got the date and the time, your child can attend their first session. They'll meet other readers their age and learn about the book they'll be reading. We'll crack open the biscuits and explore the latest story over a hot chocolate.

Read the book

We'll provide you with the copy of their book every month for you to take home with you, ready for their next session.

Pricing

Just £12 per month*

One flat fee, with everything included. Better yet, we only charge you monthly (rather than asking for an upfront commitment) and you can also skip up to two months a year if you need to without losing your spot- perfect if you're going away on holiday, or have a prior arragement!

Book

Your child will get a paperback copy of their book club's book every month

Drinks & snacks

Book clubs are far better with hot chocolate and biscuits, you just need to let us know if you like whipped cream on top

Host

Our children's book clubs are hosted by DBS checked staff who have experience working with young people (including in teaching roles)

Community

Your child will meet a host of like-minded readers their age. It's a great way for them to make new friends over a shared interest.
